Senate to Hear Package of IDD Provider Reform Bills
A package of bills on wage parity, Medicaid reimbursement and licensing for IDD providers comes before the Senate health committee this month.
Laws

New Jersey requires anyone practising applied behavior analysis independently to hold a state licence issued by the State Board of Psychological Examiners. The regulations set out who may supervise, how much supervision is required and what a client must be told before treatment begins.
For families the practical effect is a public register: you can check a provider’s licence, see whether it is in good standing and file a complaint with the Board if something goes wrong.
This guide summarises the regulations in plain language; it is not legal advice. Providers with questions about their own obligations should contact the Board directly.
