Three initiatives launched this year would not exist without the people who give to Autism New Jersey. The law-enforcement training programme is reaching police departments across the state; the health and wellness coaching pilot for caregivers has a waiting list; and our work with hospital systems on autism-friendly emergency care is expanding to more networks.
Each project started as a pattern in Helpline calls — families describing the same gap again and again — and each was funded by unrestricted gifts, which let us respond quickly rather than waiting for a grant cycle.
